BUSTI, N.Y. -- The Sunoco Race Fuels Crate Late Model Special scheduled for last Saturday will be run this Saturday at Stateline Speedway. Rain washed out last Saturdays racing at the Kart Track and the Big Track the first time this has happened this season.

Last week the racing community lost Bill Law. Law was the man most instrumental in bringing the Crate Late Model division to Stateline and will be missed by the entire racing community. Law was the owner of the #14 Crate Late driven by Kyle Scott, Garland PA.

There are just four point races left in 2012, three single point events including this Saturday plus a double point race on August 25th, so it is make or break time for several racers looking for a division title.

Rich Gardner, Waterford PA, has a 222 point lead in the Super Late Model division and will have to have a least one DNF to allow 2011 Champ Dutch Davies and nine time Champ Dick Barton, Ashville NY, a shot at the title.

Damien Bidwell, Eldred Pa., is the Crate Late leader a favorite to win the Crate Special on Saturday and like Gardner has a comfortable lead over Stockton NY’s Bob Dorman.

The top three Limited Late Model racers are separated by just 102 points. Steve Kania, Waterford PA, currently hold the lead by just 36 points over Sherman NY’s Chris Ottaway while Jamestown NY’s Steve Moynihan is within striking distance, 102 points behind Kania.

Sherman NY’s Justin Carlson is the E-Mod leader but is just 84 points ahead of Warren PA’s Butch Southwell. Carlson and Southwell are well ahead of the other E-Mod racers contending for the title.

Dan Nocero Jr. from Jamestown NY has built a huge lead in the Super Sportsman class. Nocero has seven wins and a 546 point advantage over Erie PA’s Jake Eller.

Street Stock driver Waterford PA’s Chris Withers has won eight of the fifteen Street Stock features and has a 300 point advantage over second place driver Brian Crandall from Stockton NY.s

With six feature wins Chad Bender, Stockton NY, is the Challenger leader.

Saturday’s general admission $10.00, Kids 6-15 $5.00 and Pit Fee $25.00. Gates open at 5:30, Pits at 4:00 and racing will start promptly at 7:00. See all the details on the web at www.stateline-speedway.com.
