WATKINS GLEN, N.Y. -- The season finale for the F2000 Championship Series and F1600 Formula F Championship Series will see the inaugural SOS Children’s Village Cup awarded to the driver in each Series who scores the highest number of points over all four races at Watkins Glen.

SOS Children’s Villages – the official charity of both Series - is the largest organization in the world that provides long-term care for orphaned and abandoned children.

For over 60 years, SOS Children's Villages has been dedicated to providing family-based, long-term care to children who can no longer grow up with their biological families.

They also focus on preventing the conditions that cause children to be orphaned and abandoned.

Through its Children’s Villages and Family Strengthening Programs, SOS impacts the lives of over one million people each year, with facilities all over the world, including three in the United States.

In F2000, following a sweep of both Watkins Glen races in June; Remy Audette is, as usual, the man to beat for the SOS Cup. Chris Livengood, however, is in striking distance, some 26 points adrift of the Canadian, Audette. Kyle Connery could factor in too, 55 points behind.

On the F1600 side, the race for the award is similar to that of the Championship, Tim Kautz and Bill Valet separated by just four points. John Robinson looks on from 33 points back, as does Colin Thompson, with Forrest Hull a point behind.

Following the final races of the season on October 16, two SOS Children’s Village Cups will be presented at the Series award ceremony.
