by Ben Shelton, Scott Hensley Racing
OLIVE BRANCH, Miss. -- Scott “The Rocket” Hensley from Olive Branch, Mississippi will once again be in action in the #40R Stenhouse Motorsports/J&J/Dynotech Racing Engine Sprint Car this weekend in the state of Arkansas for a pair of special events.
The team was slated to compete in their #5 Hensley Suzuki Dwarf Car last Saturday at Lanier Raceway in Brasilton, Georgia, but heavy rains forced the cancellation of the event.
This weekend, Scott will shift gears and hop back the wheel of the high horsepowered, #40R Sprint Car as he travels to Central Arkansas. On Friday, September 25th, Hensley will be in action at Beebe Speedway in Beebe, Arkansas with the Parts Plus USCS Sprint Cars. This will mark Hensley’s first trip to the tight confines of the ¼ mile, clay oval. For more information on the event, please visit www.USCSRacing.com and www.BeebeSpeedway.com.
On Saturday, September 26th, the action will move to Tracey Clay’s I-30 Speedway in Little Rock, Arkansas for the $2,000 to win/$200 to start, Ralph Henson Memorial. For more information on the event, please visit www.I-30Speedway.com.
Last weekend, Scott traveled to Georgia for a pair of Parts Plus USCS Sprint Car Series events. After struggling in his heat race on Friday night, September 4th Scott turned in an impressive performance in the feature event as he charged from his 18th starting spot to an 8th place finish in Parts Plus USCS Sprint Car Series action at Boyds Speedway in Ringgold, Georgia. For his hard charging effort he received the "Lunati Crank It Up Award!"
Scott Hensley would like to thank all of his sponsors including Hensley Suzuki of Olive Branch, Stenhouse Motorsports, Dynotech Racing Engines, Butlerbuilt Seats, MSR Mafia.com, Retirement Companies of America, Hoosier Racing Tires, and Pro Shocks.
