BEEBE, Ark. -- The COMP Cams MSRA Super Late Model Series has entered the pivotal point of their season, where the point’s battle is tight, and the competition level is on fire, and the next stop for the mayhem will be at Beebe Speedway (Beebe, Arkansas) this Friday, August 27th.

With just a handful of events remaining Bill Frye from Greenbrier, Arkansas is the point’s leader as he chases his first ever COMP Cams MSRA Super Late Model title. Kyle Beard from Trumann, Arkansas led much of the season in the standings, but a mechanical failure at I-30 Speedway a few weeks ago cost him the lead, and he now sits in the second position just ten points behind the leader. Jon Mitchell from Texarkana, Texas is currently third in the latest standings and is just forty-eight points removed from the lead.

The elite trio will take their point’s battle into Beebe Speedway this Friday, August 27th, and will be joined by a tough cast of competitors including Jeff Floyd, Joey Mack, Brandon Smith, Dewaine Hottinger, Jon Kirby, Terry Henson, Eddie Provence, Shane Stephens, Wesley Crutchfield, Billy Moyer Jr., Stormy Derryberry, Clay Fisher, and more.

Brandon Smith has all but clinched the Kuntz & Company Rookie of the Year honors, and will look to pad his advantage with this Friday’s event.

In addition, the Beebe Speedway event will serve as the final event in the RiceTec Summer Showdown, a mini-series which has been held over the past few weeks. Heading into this Friday’s event, Billy Moyer Jr. holds the lead over Bill Frye, Jon Mitchell, Jon Kirby, and Jeff Floyd. The winner of the mini-series will get a $1,000 cash bonus. In addition, GRT Race Cars has posted a $500 cash bonus to the highest finishing driver in a GRT in the four race challenge. Other prizes that have been posted include a Fast Shafts drive shaft and labor cost on the rebuild of a set of four Integra shocks.

The event this Friday, August 27th will be highlighted by a $2,000 to win/$300 to start, 30 lap event at the ¼ mile oval located in Beebe, Arkansas. The COMP Cams MSRA tour has hosted two events at the facility so far this year, and it was Billy Moyer Jr. and Kyle Beard claiming the wins. Also in action will be Modifieds, E-Mods, Hobby Stocks, Factory Stocks, and Mini Stocks. Grandstand admission is $15 for adults, senior citizens $10, children 6-11 years of age $5 and 5 and under Free. Pit admission is $30.
