MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa -- The month of July will see the racers going after extra cash all month long. The month gets kicked off on Tuesday, July 3rd, with the annual Stock Car Shootout. The racing action will shift into high gear with hot laps at 7:00 p.m. and racing to follow as both the I.M.C.A. Stock Cars and Karl Chevrolet SportMods will be racing for $1,000 to win in the Toby K's Hideaway 1K. Along with the Stock Cars and SportMods, the I.M.C.A. Hobby Stocks and Mod Lites will also be on the card with extra loot on the line. A little twist on the schedule will be on Sunday, July 15th, during the Central Iowa Fair when Go-Karts, Motorcycles, and Quads take to the famed 1/4 mile high banked oval. The Friday, July 20th, event will see the I.M.C.A. Modifieds going after a $1,000 top prize and the Karl Chevrolet Sport Mods shooting for a $500 winners check. This event will take place on the heels of the Harris Clash at the Knoxville Raceway. Any driver making the modified A main at Knoxville the previous night will receive a $500 bonus if they can capture the main event win at Marshalltown. All classes will be on the card but the Modifieds and SportMods will be a draw/redraw format for the evening with no entry fees and the normal $20 pit pass. One of the fan favorites is the always exciting Spectator Eliminator races taking place after the final checkered flag on Friday, July 27th. This is a winner takes all event as fans take to the track for a green, white, checker, race in their street cars.
