CRYSTAL, Mich. -- Saturday night at Crystal Motor Speedway was a hot night both on and off the track appropriately sponsored by Gratiot Heating and Cooling.

Reb Marble grabbed the lead in the Port City Racing Pro Stock feature with Jeremie Raby tight on his tail. Raby was able to get around him after the third lap and he began to pull away. Jeff Loomis. Cortland Skoog, and Marble raced for second. A front stretch pile up involving at least four cars eliminated Derrick Dennis and damaged Chaney Newland. Vern Buskirk worked his way to the top five and then took third away from Loomis. Buskirk moved into second and began to reel in Raby. With five to go, Loomis retired and Newland moved into third and Buskirk was challenging for the lead. Raby was able to fend off the last two lap challenges to take the win.

The Kentucky Fried Chicken of Mt Pleasant Late Model event saw Dan DeLong with Tom Dusen and Tim Stott fighting for second and Roger Wing in the top five. As DeLong cruised, Wing moved forward and was soon neck and neck with Dusen for second with Wing finally sliding under him coming out of turn four.. DeLong was running into lapped traffic and was able to dance around them to put space between himself and Wing. A caution with 12 laps to go grouped the field tight again and DeLong was able to pull away with Wing and Dusen fighting for second. Dusen was able to secure second and then began a full out charge to take the lead. With six to go, Dusen grabbed the point but was unable to pull away from DeLong and Wing. A caution with two to go bunched the top three one last time but it was Dusen holding on over DeLong and Wing.

David Dancer and Ryan Paradise pulled away from the pack in the opening laps of the Engine Pro Pro Truck feature with a pack of four running three and occasionally four wide. Five laps in, Richard Melton developed a motor issue that left moisture on the track and caused a six truck pile up behind him. Seaman was able to hold third but had challenges from Chris DeCamp, Bob Griffin, and Kevin Deal. With four to go, Ashlee Scott moved into the top five but Dancer just kept extending his lead and went on to win his first feature of 2012 .

Calvin Bracket lead the opening laps of the PRW USA IMCA Modified feature but then spun in front of everyone, causing everyone to take evasive action. Remarkably no one touched him and he was able to continue at the back of the field. Once green again, Brody Bowser pulled out front with Robert Putt and Jerry Hunt chasing. A brief caution brought Bowser back into view of the rest of the field it wasn't long before he began to check out again. In the mean time, Myron DeYoung and Chad Wernette fought for second, running three wide with Hunt. DeYoung moved into second with Wernette and Hunt fighting for third. Bowser cruised to the win over DeYoung, Wernette, and Hunt.

Doug McKeown took the early lead in the Smokers Club of Mt. Pleasant Street Stock feature with Kyle Prochazka and Taylor Daniels in second and third. Prochazka was able to slide under McKeown to take the lead and Brenten DeYoung came flying through the field into third. Prochazka maintained a steady four length lead as DeYoung began to work on McKeown. McKeown and DeYoung got loose and David Grega took over second just before Chris Wiggins hit the front stretch wall. When the green fell again, Prochazka lead Grega, McKeown, Chance Allen, and DeYoung with four to go. The last two laps were two and three wide but Prochazka held on for the win.

The Races On The Web Flinn Stock division got their feature rolling with a pile up in the opening set of turns. Felicia Rohn, Samantha Klaus, and Zach Messner ending up sitting in the corner, Jeff Dygert became the leader after a series of restarts with Bree Brasington, Scott Glidden, and Cody Everingham following. While Dygert ran off, Brasington, Glidden, and Alex Richards fought three wide for second. Dygert won going away over Richards, Glidden, Brasington, and Everingham.

Next Saturday is a regular night of racing of all six divisions, sponsored by Ionia Bowl 300. Pit gates open at 4:30 and grandstands gates open about 5PM. Racing starts at 7:30. Adults are $10 and kids 5-11 are $4. Pit passes are $25. More information can be obtained by calling the track office at 989.235.5200 or visiting the website at crystalmotorspeedway.com
