BURLINGTON, Wis. -- Three-time American Speed Association and one-time ARTGO Champion Kevin Cywinski has entered the July Spectacular 100 this Saturday at I-94 Raceway in Sauk Centre, MN. He will be competing in the sixth event of the 2008 ASA Kwik Trip Midwest Tour presented by ECHO Outdoor Power Equipment season.

Cywinski, the 1995 ARTGO and 1997, 2003, and 2004 ASA Champion, will be competing in his second ASAMT event. He competed in the inaugural event last season at Elko Speedway where he came home with a 12th place finish.

In his ASA career, Cywinski collected 15 wins and over 100 top-ten finishes in 142 starts. He was also the Rookie of the Year in 1996.

He will be one of the many Midwest Touring Stars competing this Saturday night at I-94 Raceway, an ASA Member Track.

Going into this Saturday night, Dan Fredrickson currently holds a 69-point lead over Donny Reuvers in the 2008 Championship standings. Reuvers will be looking for his third ASAMT win in a row while Fredrickson is looking to return to victory lane. His last win came on May 4th at Madison International Speedway, another ASA Member Track.

Travis Sauter currently sits third in the standings only 107 points back of Fredrickson. So far in five events, Sauter has collected two top-five's and four top-ten finishes. The two top-five's came in the last two events.

Andrew Morrissey, fresh off a third place finish in The Swiss Colony All-Star Challenge event at MIS, fell back to fourth in points only 121 points behind the leader. Jamie Iverson, who will be making the long trek from Escanaba, MI, is fifth only 172 points back.

Only two points separate Iverson and Tim Schendel who is sixth in points, 174 points behind Fredrickson. But he only has a three-point cushion between himself and Chris Wimmer who is seventh, 177 points back.

Blake Horstman is eighth, 184 points back while leading Lane Automotive Rookie of the Year contender Matt Kocourek is ninth, 212 points back.

Defending ASAMT champion Nathan Haseleu, coming off a sixth place run at Grundy County Speedway, has worked his way into the top ten as he is now only 232 points behind Fredrickson.

ASAMT practice will begin at 1:30 pm on Saturday with qualifying scheduled for 5:00 pm. The popular Autograph session will take place at 5:45 pm with the first race at 7:00 pm.

The I-94 Raceway Legends and UCARS will also be in action this Saturday night.
