MARKLEYSBURG, Pa. -- Heat races at Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex were just completed on Centennial Chevrolet Night, as the skies opened and heavy rains fell. Management waited approximately 20 minutes but the heavy rain continued to fall so the remainder of the evening’s activities was postponed. Features will be run over the next few weeks.

Heat winners for the evening were Billy Holbert and Matt Cosner in the Hoosier Tire Mid Atlantic Super Late Models; Mike Lewis and Nolan Dalton (High Gear Speed Shop FASTRAK Late Model); Marty Spade and Todd Dennis (Krause Electric Street Stocks); Cody Colflesh and J T Baird (Ft. Necessity Garage Chargers); Evan Taylor (Emods); and Steve Settle (Newt’s York Bar Roadrunners).

Make-up features will be run on the following dates: Charger Special (July 21), FASTRAK Late Model (July 28), Roadrunner and Emod (August 11), Super Late Model (August 18), and Street Stock (August 25).

Next Saturday night is the Hooiser Tire Mid-Atlantic Super Late Models, High Gear Speed Shop FASTRAK Late Models, Modifieds, Krause Electric Street Stocks, Ft Necessity Garage Chargers and the Newt’s York Bar Roadrunners. The Chargers will run their make-up 20-lap special. The Grease Gun Mechanics race will also take place.

Coming on Saturday night, August 4 -- the Ernie Jones Memorial race for Super Late Models. The 22 lap feature will pay $2200 to win. A lot of bonus money is being collected to add to this big race in memory of Promoter, Rick Jones’ brother who died earlier this year.
