MANITOWOC, Wis. -- A quite breezy and warm evening greeted the teams and fans as they arrived at the track for the evening. The conditions made it rough on the track preparation crew, but they kept at it and provided another good track which provided some close racing .Lakeside Pepsi of Sheboygan Falls presented the evenings races while Minster Racing presented the trophies to all of the winners.

GRAND NATIONALS
The fan spun an 8 for the inversion for the Grand National field, putting heat winners Tim Thompson (Campbellsport) and Steven Ruh (Elkhart Lake) 7th and 11th on the grid, setting them up for a workout to get to the front. Ryan Minster (Sheboygan) and Scott Houpt (Belgium) made up the front row, with Matt Jackson (Sheboygan) and Larry Zirbel (Iron Ridge) behind them. Minster grabbed the lead on the green, followed by Houpt, Zirbel, Jackson, and Tyler Kulow (New Holstein) in the top 5. Zirbel retired to the pits on Lap 3, still hounded by engine problems that have plagued him all season. Don Schumacher (Oconomowoc) retired 2 laps later, pulling to the infield with Minster still leading. At the half-way mark it was Minster, Houpt, Jackson, Thompson, and Kulow, with Ruh in 6th. Paul Perronne (Plymouth) pulled off on Lap 12, with Thompson and Ruh both getting around Kulow in the top 5. Minster crossed the line first in the green to checkered run by the GN's, followed by Houpt, Thompson, Jackson, Ruh, Tyler Kulow, Brad Juckem (Chilton), Steven Weber (Plymouth) Donny Kulow (Plymouth), and Mark Kuhfuss (Sheboygan). STREET STOCKS
The fan inversion being an 8, and last weeks winner Josh McDonald (Hilbert) starting last, meant there would be some hard racing to get to the front. Jeff Bender (Plymouth) and Jeremy Hebel (Two Rivers) at the front, the field came to green and quickly spread out all over the front stretch. Points leader Bradley Ruh (Elkhart Lake) was caught by the invert again, and started working his way up from 7th. Hebel swept to the front, but could not pull away from the field. Douglas Engleking (Menominee Falls) moved up to 2nd on the 3rd lap, while Ruh was up to 5th. Caution flew on Lap 10 for debris on the backstretch, with Bender pulling to the pits, continuing a run of bad luck. Hebel led them back to green, with Engleking, Tim Mueller (New Holstein), Ruh, and Steven Dekerf Sr. (Chilton) in the top 5. With the field bunched back together, Hebel maintained his lead, but Engleking applied hard pressure, with Ruh right behind them and coming fast. Engleking led the final lap coming off 2, with Hebel less than a half-car back, and McDonald and Ruh getting together in 2 behind them. The leaders were side by side leaning on each other down the frontstretch to the line, with Hebel taking the win by half a fender over Engleking, Mueller, Dekerf Sr., Ruh, Mike Zitzer (Sheboygan), Joe Brenner (New Berlin), Dave Gauger (Two Rivers), McDonald (penalty for the last lap incident), Bender, and Jon Arndt. INEX LEGENDS
The INEX Legends made another appearance on the large 1/3 mile, with Brandon Schmidt (Beaver Dam) and Jim Bucher (Richfield) leading them out for the 15 Lap Feature event. Schmidts time at the front was short though, as Dallas Ross (Beaver Dam) would swoop around from his 4th starting position to grab the lead after the first lap. Schmidt fell to second with Eric Barth (Sauk City) sliding into 3rd. Barth worked his way around Ross for the lead on Lap 4, a lap later Mike Mueller (Waupan) moved into fifth after starting shotgun on the field due to the inversion. Lap 7 produced the only caution as Austin Wiese (Plymouth) spun in Turn 4, Barth led the restart followed by Ross, Robbie Pribnow (Mayville), Schmidt, and Mueller. Barth would maintain his advantage for the duration, with Pribnow, Ross, Schmidt, Mueller, and Bucher battling hard for the top 5. Pribnow led at the white flag, but could not hold off the charging Barth, who would take the win. Pribnow settled for second, followed by Schmidt, Ross, Mueller, Bucher, Mark Ritger (Elkhart Lake), Jimbo Sommers (Pardeeville), Scott Wiegel (Milwaukee), Wiese, and Kim Clover (Waupan) who retired early. MSA 360 SPRINTS
Last weeks feature winner TJ Luedke (Plymouth) starting 11th, and a fan invert of 12 once again put some fast cars way back in the pack. Heat winners Kyle Marten (Sheboygan Falls) and Ben Schmidt (Howards Grove) started 12th & 9th respectively. Tim Haddy (Waupan) and Shane Wenninger (Kewaskum) led the field down to green, with Haddy leading the first lap. Wenninger grabbed the front spot on Lap 2, but the race was quickly slowed by first caution of the event as Ben Schmidt spun in Turn 2. top 5 on the restart were Wenninger, Justin Miller (Plymouth), Haddy, Tony Wondra (Campbellsport), and Randy Sippel (Elkhart Lake). Wenninger leapt back out to the lead on green and Miller, Haddy, and Wondra continued to switch spots. Lap 8 brought out the red flag for a violent flip by Cole Possi (Rock, MI), who would emerge from the battered car unhurt and walked to the ambulance for the mandatory ride to his pit. His sprinter however remained in a distant spot in the infield as the fuel tank was punctured and draining, a safety hazard in the pit area, so was left under the care of a fireman in the infield. Wenninger led Haddy, Miller Wondra and Sippel back to green after the lengthy clean up, and maintained his lead through the final caution on Lap 14 for Wondra who broke in Turn 2. Going back green it was Wenninger, Haddy, Sippel, Miller, and Jeremy Schultz (Beaver Dam), up from 10th place. By Lap 15 Schultz was up to 3rd, Schmidt to 5th, and a lap later Schultz was challenging Wenninger for the lead. With 5 to go, it was Wenninger, Schultz, Schmidt, Haddy, Miller, and Luedke set to battle it out for the final 5 laps. Schultz got around Wenninger on Lap 26, and Schmidt a lap later. Schultz jetted across the line first, followed by Schmidt, Wenninger, Luedke, Haddy, Miller, Paul Pokorski (West Bend), Randy Brunette (Chilton), Sippel, and Randy Walter. WDLMA LATE MODELS
Another fan invert of 10 cars and last weeks winner Craig Schueffner (Sheboygan Falls) relegated to 11th by rule, set up another field with quick cars towards the rear having to fight their way to the front. Schueffner won his heat while Tim Buhler (Glenbuelah) won the other. Ron Stroika (Mukwonago) and Jim Rychtik (Port Washington) led the field to green, with Jim Schmidt (Cleveland) and Turk Letizia (Milwaukee) behind them. Rychtik grabbed the lead from the outside with Schmidt jumping to 2nd. At Lap 5 it was Rychtik, Tom Naeyaert (Shawano), Schmidt, Stroika, and Letizia. Scott Haugstad (Plymouth) retired to the pits on Lap 8, and Caution flew 2 laps later for a spin by Jason Bartz (Fredonia). The Restart order was Rychtik, Naeyaert, Schmidt, Stroika, and Mitch McGrath (subbing for Russ Scheffler). Schueffner, Buhler, and Rick Scheffler (Waukesha) were moving forward rapidly, all inside the top 8 at the halfway point. Naeyaert and Rychtik were engaged in a low and middle groove battle, with Naeyaert leading at the midway point, Rychtik the next lap, and then Naeyaert got a good run on the berm and powered past to a 2 car length lead. Lap 18 brought out last caution for the spinning car of Stroika, with Mark Rose (Elcho) and McGrath pitted with Rose returning to the track. Naeyaert led the field to the restart followed by Schmidt, Rychtik, Buhler, and Schueffner. Naeyaert jumped back to his 2 car length lead, and Schmidt and Rychtik were challenged by Buhler and Scheffler. Schmidt went high for the rest of the race, trying to catch Naeyaert, while Buhler was running the berm and catching him fast.
