OSHKOSH, Wis. -- The Oshkosh Speedzone signed the band Southbound for entertainment for Friday night September 7, 2012 for after the races.

Just off a two week playing gig at the Wisconsin Dells, Southbound has been supplying the central Wisconsin area with their signature hard-driving "roadhouse" sound since 1988. Their combination of chart topping country mixed with just the right amount of classic rock will get you to the dance floor and keep you there ‘till last call. You can’t help but dance to the tight groove supplied by the rock-solid rhythm section, lose yourself in soaring guitar solos, and sing along with some of the best vocal talent this side of the radio. It was this combination earned them the title of Wisconsin’s best at the state’s holy grail of country festivals: the Rhinelander Hodag.

Southbound will be playing in the entertainment area after the races Friday night. Larry Stratton said that this a perfect fit for our Fall Classic. Great music, great racing all goes together. Jeff Lemiesz said that on his mini vacation to the Dells, with his wife, Sue, they stumbled across this band. The Speedzone Fall Classic is slated for September 7 and 8, 2012. Divisions will consist of Modifieds, IMCA Stock Cars, IMCA Sport Mods, Grand Nationals, Street Stocks and 4 Cylinders.
