SLINGER, Wis. -- Milwaukee County Executive Scott Walker will serve as the Grand Marshall for the 30th Annual Miller Lite Nationals on Tuesday July 21, 2009. Walker has been Milwaukee County Executive since 2002 and recently added his name to the list of candidates running for Wisconsin Governor in 2010.

David Stremme, although previously committed to run the Slinger Nationals, unfortunately has to withdraw his entry in order to do a testing session to prepare for Watkins Glen. Jesse Dickerson, David Stremme's manger states, "David is extremely committed to Penske Racing and its unfortunate that he will not be able to attend the Slinger Nationals, but his priorities need to be respected.

Local Star Travis Dassow has just entered the Miller Lite Nationals. Dassow is the 2007 ASA Late Model Challenge Series National Champion. He will be driving a car prepared by local veteran Chris Ratajczyk. Dassow is no stranger to the High Banks of Slinger Speedway and looks to improve on his best Miller Lite Nationals finish of 6th in 2006.

For a chance to meet Matt Kenseth, Kyle Busch, Dick Trickle, and other Stars, a limited number of VIP Meet and Greet Hospitality tickets are available. VIP Hospitality tickets will allow fans the opportunity to get an autograph and attend a Q&A session. Fans can save $2.00 when they purchase Adult General Admission tickets in advance. The rain date is Wednesday July 22nd. TT 4 pm Racing 7 pm.
