Friday, November 20, 2009 New General Manager for Scotia Speedworld and CARQUEST Pro Stock Tour
 by Tara FosterHALIFAX, Nova Scotia -- Scotia Speedworld and the CARQUEST Pro Stock Tour announces the appointment of Ken Cunning as General Manager. Cunning replaces Ron Clarke, who has resigned in order to concentrate on his business.
Cunning was General Manager for both Scotia Speedworld and the CARQUEST Pro Stock Tour from 2005 through the 2007 seasons. He has a varied background in motorsports including crewing, announcer and board member. He has spent the last two seasons supporting his son’s racing efforts.
Tara Foster has been appointed Assistant Manager and will also continue with Sponsorship, Marketing and Media duties for both Scotia Speedworld and the Maritime Pro Stock Tour.
About the CARQUEST Pro Stock Tour
The CARQUEST Pro Stock Tour (CPST) is the highest level of stock car racing in Canada. The Tour is recognized in the industry as one of the healthiest stock car racing series in North America. About Scotia Speedworld
Scotia Speedworld (SSW) is a 3/10-mile asphalt oval racing facility. SSW is the only venue in Nova Scotia to host a weekly racing series, which runs May through September and features six different classes of racecars.
