CHEMUNG, N.Y. -- Don King of East Aurora, NY made his second career visit to the Chemung Speedrome on Sunday afternoon and picked up his first career win in the 30 lap event for the SUNOCO Modifieds. Other winners included Terry Potrzebowski picked up his third win of the season in the Super Stocks while Matt Pappa and David French each won their fifth victories of the season in the INEX Legends and Bandoleros respectively. Casey Pavlick from Addison, NY won his third Crate Sportsman main of the season and Gene Purvis won his third four Cylinder Mini Stock feature.

Mike Odwazny and TJ Zacharias led the field of SUNOCO Modifieds to the green flag in their 30 lap feature event with Zacharias out to the early lead. Brother Jimmy Zacharias made an incredible three wide move to take over the lead just two laps into the feature event. Andy Jankowiak and Don King moved up through the field and tried to reel in Zacharias and put on a great battle for second for much of the distance. Terry Zacharias had his afternoon end early after looping the Wilson Motorsports 18w around on the back stretch while trying not to run into his son TJ. Off the restart, Jimmy Zacharias would pull away and King would work around Jankowiak to grab second from the second generation driver Jankowiak. Zacharias would cross the line first in what would appear to be his fourth win of the season at Chemung however, was found illegal in post race tech, therefore giving the win to Don King, who would pick up his first career victory at the Twin-Tiers facility. Teammate Andy Jankowiak would cross the line in second and Jody Buckley would complete the top three.

Cody Marshall and John Lane led the field of Super Stocks to the green flag for their feature event and it was Marshall out to the early lead. Lane would need four laps in his Waverly Pharmacy sponsored machine to take over the top spot. Last weeks feature winner Terry Potrzebowski moved his way up through the field and would pass Lane for the lead. Potrzebowski would pull away and pick up his third win of the season on the 3/8th’s oval over Lane and Cricket Clonch.

Brandon Michael and Jimmy Zacharias led the field of INEX Legends to the green flag for their 20 lap feature event and it was Zacharias out to the early lead. Todd McCollum was able to get around Zacharias for the lead on the second circuit and started to pull away from the field. Matt Pappa passed McCollum for the top spot on lap six and never looked back as Pappa picked up his fifth win of the season.

Cody Jackson and Nick Morich led the Bandoleros to the green flag for their feature event with Morich out to the early lead. David French would take the lead from Morich on lap number two. French pulled away and would pick up his fifth win of the season over Morich.

Casey Pavlick and Dale Welty put on a battle for the ages in the Crate Sportsman feature event and Pavlick was able to sneak around Welty on lap 17 and went on to win his third straight feature win.

In the 4 Cylinders Gene Purvis and Frank Morich put on a great battle as the duo raced eachother clean and hard for the 15 lap distance and Purvis was able to pick up his third win of the season.
