ESTEVAN, Sask. -- IMCA Modifieds chase a $3,000 top check at Estevan Motor Speedway’s Fast 40 special this Saturday, July 7.

The event was rescheduled due to inclement weather from May 26 and McComb Automotive antes up the winner’s share of the $12,000 feature purse.

The Fast 40 is a qualifier for the 2012 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing Na­tional, Belleville Motorsports North Central Region and Allstar Performance State points, but no local track points, will be awarded.

Twenty-five cars will comprise the main event field. The 40-lap feature pays $2,000 for second and $1,000 for third. All qualifiers earn a minimum of $200 to start.

Entry fee, payable at the gate is $50. Pit passes are $25. Pit gates and the grandstand both open at 5 p.m. Hot laps are at 6:30 p.m. and racing starts at 7:30 p.m.

IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks are also on the program.

Grandstand admission is $12 for adults, $10 for seniors and students, $5 for kids ages 7-12 and free for youngsters six and under.

The Fast 40 precedes the six-date Dakota Track Side Classic Tour for IMCA Modifieds. Dates for that series are July 8 and 9 at Nodak Speedway, July 10 at Estevan, July 11 at Williston Basin Speedway, July 12 at Southwest Speedway and July 13 at Dacotah Speedway.

Regular weekly racing programs at Estevan rescheduled due to persistent wet weather will be held Aug. 3 and Aug. 24.
