Monday, December 13, 2010 All Stars Quick-Time Night at Murray Bridge Speedway

MURRAY BRIDGE, Australia – Moule & QT Chassis took the glory at the Fire Service Plus – BSA Sprintcar All Star Series Saturday night at Murray Bridge Speedway.
“It’s a pretty neat way for our new sponsor to kick off the season with us. QT Chassis is sponsoring a chassis for the Series winner and Tony Moule who runs a QT himself certainly showed how comfortable he was in his new mount,” Mandy Searle tells us after the night’s racing.
“Tony put in a huge effort travelling to the track by himself – no crew & no family for a change, so he was truck driver, crew and driver all on the one night – I reckon that’s a big effort and a busy night for him.” Mandy says. “The B Main was cut short due to threatening weather around which proved a good decision as just after the cars came off track down it came. Work had to be carried out to return the track and of course that lead to a curfew issue. The A was shortened by five laps, but at least we had a completed Feature and race meeting,” Kerrie Barker informs us.
With 34 cars in the pits, there was going to be some exciting racing that night. Sprintcar Rookie and Touring Car regular Tim Slade was at the front of the Driver’s meeting to make sure he heard what was going to happen on the night. He was also lucky enough to win the IDIGIT $50 Lucky Draw which bought a smile to his Car Owners face. Slade drove well and has indicated that he would like to come and run again with the Series at Mildura on January 2nd. The A Main certainly had some action packed moments with Series regular Chad Ely bringing on the first Red tipping the car on its side.
Unfortunately not being able to restart his night was done. Enderl another casualty with a flat tyre having to sit out the feature on the infield. With Moule taking a good lead, the action was between Caruso, Brooks, Wright and Jones. When they sorted themselves out Jones took out after Moule.
“I was so glad of the Yellow’s to give myself a break, first race for the season and I don’t think I am that fit. I didn’t do too many shows last season and I can really feel it. I might have to work on that!” Tony says just after the feature race.
