This year saw 16 wannabe racers from across the USA travel to Silverstone, home of the British Grand Prix, where each was put through their paces in a bid to uncover the next Nissan GT Academy champion.

Halliday, joined by US stars Danny Sullivan and Tommy Kendall, used her experience behind the wheel to whittle down the finalists across the five-episode series before naming the 2011 champion.

They will hope to follow in the footsteps of virtual racer-turned-sportscar driver Lucas Ordoñez who finished on the podium at this year’s Le Mans 24 Hours.
