Eight WV Racers Currently In Top 50 FASTRAK Weekly National Point Standings, Coal State Classic Coming in August!

West Virginia racers are enjoying a successful first season under the sanctioning of the FASTRAK Late Model series. Currently eight WV and Tyler County Speedway regulars including Gary Knollinger, Kyle Thomas, Shawn Jett, Chad Green, Joel Prosser, Daniel Hill, Derek Doll, and Shane Hitt sit among the nations Top 50 crate racers and will look to cash in on the over $400,000 point fund up for grabs in the 2009 season.

In its first year under the FASTRAK Racing Series umbrella, Tyler County Speedway's most competitive class continues to grow week after week and the racing speaks for itself as seven different winners have graced the Camp Copperhead Victory lane out of eight races.

According to BDS Racing Promotions Scott Strode "It's good to see folks excited about FASTRAK and the future of the division here at Tyler. We've exceeded where we thought we'd be at this point. We started off with 13 cars our first week and we've already seen 26 here a couple of weeks ago. We're flirting with the 20 car mark on a regular basis and it seems as if a new car pops up almost every week.'

A huge FASTRAK weekend is in store for the Mountains of West Virginia in August as Tyler County Speedway and Elkins Speedway present the first "Coal State Classic", Night 1 will be at Elkins on August 21 and Night 2 will be at Tyler County the following night, August 22 and will be a classic north vs. south battle.
