PEEBLES , Ohio -- The 1/3 mile speed plant 3 miles south of Peebles , Ohio will roar back to life on Saturday, July 3 with the annual Firestorm event. The 2010 version will feature modifieds, legends and crazy compacts. Plus a 100 lap enduro race and a dueling fireworks show. Pit gate opens at 4 p.m. General admission gate opens at 5 PM, drivers meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m.

The annual Firestorm event already boasting one of the more popular firework displays in the area, saw the introduction of the dueling fireworks battle in 2009. The event saw two different fireworks companies shooting off shows from different locations on the race track property. One company positioned on tailgate row and the other in the infield. Once the shows concluded the fans roared in approval of what they had just witnessed. Rozzi famous fireworks was crowned the winner based on crowd applause. The 2010 Firestorm will see the return of the battling firework shows. Rozzi famous fireworks will be back to battle Hamburg Fireworks in an effort to retain their Firestorm champion status.

Known for using unique promotions and ideas Brushcreek Motorsports will add a special twist to the crazy compact class for the 2010 firestorm race. The stock 4 cylinders will run the opposite direction around the track. Dubbed "Australian Style" by owner/promoter Tom Partin. Partin stated "It's something different and fun for the fans" "These cars are suppose to be stock, so they shouldn't have any trouble turning left."

Other activities include racers bowling, a live band, a comedy juggler a ventriloquist, school bus rides for the kids and four jump houses. Partin said "We want the Firestorm to be a fun night for everyone; adults and children"
