Missouri State Fairgrounds Coliseum
Friday, January 24, 2003 ‘Even though it’s snow, karts will go’
by Race AuthorSEDALIA, Mo. (Jan. 24, 2003) - It’s three Wednesdays in a row for snow in Sedalia. The first time, it didn’t deter the action, last week with staying cold temperatures it did.
Even with a bit of ‘déjà vu’, this season’s race #10 is set to go in this Saturday’s (January 25th) “Coliseum Indoor Winter Speedway Kart Racing Series”.
“We only got a dusting up here in Sedalia,” states promoter Wayne Campbell of Campbell Promotions. “The temperature Saturday is going above freezing early, and that should take care of the minor problem snow caused this week. The sun itself, on Friday afternoon, will probably take care of most of it”.
Forty-five degree temperatures have been forecast.
The racing fans, out for their wintertime ‘need for speed’, definitely get their attendance money’s worth every week.
Racing returns this Saturday! With the added attraction of the sun filtering through it's countless windows, the Missouri State Fair's Coliseum dirt oval stays nice inside. The Speedway Kart Series will be back in action this Saturday, January 25th.
That, along with the supplied heat in the historic Missouri State Fairgrounds building and the ‘Coliseum Karting Concessions’ delicious food, fans and competitors always look forward to returning.
Admission to the grandstands for adults is $5, 7 to 10 years old-$3 and under 6 years of age, free.
