Thursday, August 16, 2012 Cut Rate Auto Parts Night Next on GHR Schedule
 by Ben DeatherageELMA, Wash. -- The 2012 season continues this Saturday August 18th at Grays Harbor Speedway for Cut Rate Auto Parts Night next on the calendar. 360 Sprints, USRA Modifieds, Hobby Stocks, and Hornets will all be on hand at the 3/8 mile speed factory.
Last week Reece Goetz became the sixth different winner in seven races with his triumph last Saturday. Henry Van Dam leads the class with the most wins this year which he has captured two victories. Other feature winners include J.J. Hickle, Rick Fauver, Jay Cole, and Randy Van Aagten.
The USRA Modifieds return to GHR after a week hiatus. Scott Miller continues to lead the class in the victory category with three wins in 2012. Joe German, the most recent victor, is the only other repeat winner thus far this campaign. Eight different winners have graced victory lane in eleven races and it has created a list which includes Lawrence O’Conner, Tom Sweatman, Zack Simpson, Scott Lenz, Craig Moore, and Mark Wauge as well as the two aforementioned drivers Miller and German.
This week will be exciting to see if either Brian Harding or Jason Tole will break the tie amongst themselves each looking for their sixth win of the season. Also it will be interesting to see if anyone else can visit the winner’s circle and become the third different winner in ten races.
With his victory in the Hornets last week Jake Mills now has won the most victories in the division. Chad Norton and Zack Floreck are the only other repeat winners each with two wins while drivers with single wins are Brian Norton, Kyle Mast, and Will Wright.
Saturday night’s admission is the following: Adults $13.00, Senior (62+)/Juniors (15-18)/Military $10.00, Youths (6-14) $5.00, Youths (5 and Under) FREE, Family Pass (Two Adults and Up To Four Youths) $30.00, and Premium Seating $20.00. Gates open at 2:30 for the pits and 4:30 for the grandstands with racing starting at 6:30.
