ANKENY, Iowa -- Karl Chevrolet and its GM Performance Parts division will host a meeting on Tuesday night, November 27th, to discuss the possible use of a GM Performance Parts Crate Engine as an option in 305 Sprint Car competition. The meeting will be held in the conference room at Karl Chevrolet and is scheduled to begin at 7:00 pm. All Drivers, Car Owners, Sanctioning Organizations, Clubs and persons involved with 305 Sprint Car racing are invited and encouraged to attend.

“Since the original press release announcing this meeting I have attended meetings and received phone calls and e-mails from persons interested in listening to our proposal,” commented Chuck Stowe, GM Performance Parts Representative at Karl Chevrolet. “I expect representatives from several tracks and racing organizations as well as interested individuals to attend, including; the Midwest 305 Sprint Cars, Midwest Sprint Warriors, Mid American 305 Sprints, Ralph Capitani and John McCoy from Knoxville Raceway and Tom Schmeh from the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame. All interested parties are invited to attend this meeting.”

The discussion will center around GM’s Performance Parts Crate Engine part number 88958604, which is an intake to pan race engine based on the 350 Fast Burn 350/400 racing engine including: a bulletproof bottom end, anchored by a forged steel crankshaft and hypereutectic pistons. The 23 degree Fast Burn aluminum heads enable tremendous power in the small block V-8 because of a unique design that quickly and completely burns the air/fuel mixture, producing maximum power. Additional tech specs and information about this engine will be available at the meeting.

Karl Chevrolet is located at 1101 SE Oralabor Road in Ankeny, Iowa. The conference room is located just inside the Accessories Show Room door located on the east side of the front of the dealership. For additional information or to confirm your attendance contact Chuck Stowe via phone at (515) 299-4434 or by e-mail at cstowe@winning.com.
