Tuesday, April 10, 2012 Position 1 Fitness to Award Eastern Canadian Karting Championship Rotax Champions

The Eastern Canadian Karting Championship is pleased to announce Position 1 Fitness as the exclusive fitness, training and nutrition partner for the 2012 season. As the premier karting series in Canada, Position 1 Fitness has stepped up to offer training to the DD2, DD2 Masters, Senior and Junior Rotax champions who will be traveling to the Rotax Max Challenge Grand Finals. With the elite sport of karting testing the physical demands of its competitors, Position 1 Fitness will ensure the ECKC representatives are in top shape as they take on the world in Portimao, Portugal later this year. Not only that, Position 1 Fitness is also offering every ECKC competitor, team member and associate a one month trial of their revolutionary P1 Online Trainer.
"ECKC is one of the premiere karting series in North America at the moment. The four Rotax champions will each receive a custom, three month World Championship training program, tailored to each driver's needs by P1 Fitness. Having trained athletes competing in GP2, GP3, Indy Lights, Canadian Superbike, AMA Pro Flat Track and Star Mazda, as well as the last two DD2 Rotax World Final Champions, P1 will ensure the champions are at the top of their game through their cutting edge, elite training, nutrition and supplementation programs.

The Eastern Canadian Karting Championship is an ASN-sanctioned, four round, six race series with venues in both Ontario and Quebec. Now in its third year, the ECKC will start of the 2012 season at Goodwood Kartways in Stouffville, Ontario May 26-27 for the first double-header weekend. Circuit ICAR will host the third race in Mirabel, Quebec June 17 followed by the second double-race weekend at Mosport International Karting in Bowmanville, Ontario June 30-July 1. The series will conclude at the Monaco Grand Prix of Trois-Rivieres July 29, the prestigious street race set at the site of the GP3R at Exposition Park. The Eastern Canadian Karting Championship is a Rotax Max Challenge series, and will award Rotax Max Challenge Grand Finals tickets to the Rotax Senior, Rotax Junior, Rotax DD2 and Rotax DD2 Masters class champions. In 2012, the Briggs & Stratton classes will contest the series six-race series, making up a national four-stroke championship.
