Tuesday, August 17, 2004 Tulsa 100 tickets selling briskly
 by Race AuthorTULSA, Okla. -- The phone lines continue to buzz with ticket sales for the upcoming USAC Weld Racing Silver Crown Series Tulsa “100”, which is set to take place at the Tulsa Fairgrounds Motorplex on Saturday night, September 18.
The Second Annual event will wrap up a weekend of wingless, open-wheel racing atop the ¾-mile dirt oval, as the USAC Valvoline National Sprint Car Series makes its first appearance in the state of Oklahoma since 1985 on Friday night, September 17.
The nation’s top wingless drivers will be on hand for both nights of competition, with former Chili Bowl champion Jay Drake, Dave Darland, Levi Jones, Brian Tyler and defending Tulsa “100” champion Bud Kaeding among those expected to pull double-duty.
Luxury box seats for the USAC Weld Racing Silver Crown Series Tulsa “100” are available for just $36, with Reserved seating available for $31 and General Admission only $26.
Tickets for Friday night’s USAC Valvoline National Sprint Car Series event are $31 for box seating, $26 for reserved seating and $21 for general admission.
Last September’s Tulsa “100” marked the first auto racing event of any sort held at the Tulsa Fairgrounds since 1984. Throughout the 1970’s and early 1980’s, auto racing events played to massive crowds of 10,000-plus on a weekly basis at the Tulsa Fairgrounds.
