SOUTH BOSTON, Va. -- The PASS Super Late Model Series will invade South Boston Speedway for its second appearance of the year on Saturday, Aug. 18 for the running of the PASS Super Late Model 150.

In addition to the stars and the cars of the touring PASS Super Late Model Series, the night of racing action will also feature twin 75-lap races for the drivers in the NASCAR Whelen All American Late Model Stock Car Division and an event for the touring Legends Cars.

The first race of the evening will get the green flag at 7 p.m.

When the PASS Super Late Model Series made its first stop of the campaign at America?s Hometown Track on June 9, Landon Cling, a 17-year-old competitor, scored his first win in the series after holding off runner-up Preston Peltier and third-place finisher Jay Fogleman.

Other top competitors in the series include Kyle Grissom, Brandon Ward, and Ross Kenseth, son of 2012 Daytona 500 winner Matt Kenseth.

When the NASCAR Whelen All American Late Model Stock Car Division competitors hit the track for twin 75-lap events on Aug. 18, one-time winner Matt Bowling will own a 39-point lead in the chase for the track?s 2012 championship.

Peyton Sellers is second in the standings and has claimed a pair of wins this season at the historic four-tenths mile asphalt oval.

Lee Pulliam, the current leader in the chase for the 2012 NASCAR Whelen All American Series national championship, is third in the standings at America?s Hometown Track and has secured seven wins at the facility.

Advance tickets for the Aug. 18 event are currently on sale and priced at $10 each. Advance tickets can be purchased until 5:00 p.m. Friday, Aug. 17, at the speedway office.

Tickets on race day will be priced at $15 each. Youth will be admitted for $5 when accompanied by a paying adult. Children, ages six and under will be admitted free with a paying adult.
