NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- O'Reilly United Sprint Car Series driver Michael Miller of Tallapoosa, GA remains in the Intensive Care Unit at Vanderbilt Hospital, but doctors said this morning that his injuries are not life threatening. Miller was injured after his race car executed a series of barrel rolls at the start of the 30-lap O'Reilly USCS feature race Sunday night at Clarksville Speedway in Clarksville, TN.

O'Reilly USCS Media Coordinator Larry Sams reports that doctors examined Miller this morning after a series of tests, and determined that there was no permanent brain damage and that the 2000 O'Reilly USCS Rookie of the Year should make a full and complete recovery.

Sams reports that as a precaution, doctors will keep Miller in the hospital for a couple days in the ICU unit under sedation for evaluation.

Miller walked away from the crash site under his own power, and told O'Reilly USCS officials that he was O.K. But after the race was completed, Miller became ill and disoriented, and track medical personnel ordered a medivac helicopter to airlift Miller to Vanderbilt Hospital.
