CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. -- Duck River Speedway in Wheel, TN is the latest dirt track to add its name to the growing list of StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series tracks. Duck River Speedway becomes the eighth weekly dirt track to sign up for the 24-week StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series that runs from April 14 through October 29.

Once the StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series reaches it goals of 32 tracks, weekly competitors will be racing against drivers at other series weekly tracks for over $130,000 in point fund money and prizes.

"The StormPay.com Weekly Racing is gaining momentum and there is more interest in it from tracks with each day," StormPay.com Dirt Late Model Series President of Operations and Communications Roby Helm said. "We will have more announcements in the coming days of even more tracks signing up for the StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series."

The StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series features economical engines produced by GM Performance and sealed at the factory. The StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series gives weekly short track competitors an opportunity to compete in an economical late model division against drivers at other weekly tracks on a regional and national basis.

The steel head "602" engine sells for $2,950, and the aluminum head "604" engine sells for $4,950. Race cars using the 602 engine weigh 2,200 pounds, and get a 150 pound weight break over the race cars using the 604 engine that must weigh 2,350 pounds. These engines are race-ready right out of the crate from the factory.

What is unique about Duck River Speedway joining the StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series is that the track promoter, Jim Hastings, is also an engine builder.

"As an engine builder, I will loose some business, but as a track promoter, I know that this program is really going to be beneficial to Duck River Speedway," Hastings said. "For a weekly race track, the StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series makes good business sense to keep the costs down, which is a constant battle in this business."

Duck River Speedway joins Clarksville Speedway in Clarksville, TN, Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, AL, Columbus Speedway and Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, MS, Pike County Speedway in Magnolia, MS, Modoc Speedway in Modoc, SC, and Malden Speedway in Malden, MO as StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series tracks.

In addition to joining the StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series, Duck River Speedway will also host two StormPay.com Dirt Late Model Series National Touring events on two separate holiday weekends. The first event will be a Memorial Day holiday $3,000-to-win race on May 25, and the second date will be over the July 4th holiday weekend with a $3,000-to-win race on July 2.

StormPay.com is a globally recognized leader in online payment processing and free online auction listings. StormPay lives up to its name with "lightning quick e-commerce." The StormPay.com Dirt Late Model Series is also lightning quick with the action on the track.
