BULLS GAP, Tenn. -- With excessively hot summertime temperatures in the mid-90s still affecting the East Tennessee region following four straight days (Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday) of 100-degree highs, thus factored in with no rainfall at the track - Volunteer Speedway racing scheduled for Saturday, July 7 has been canceled.

The next racing program will be on Saturday, July 14 when the Fastrak Racing Series Pro Late Model Southeast touring event visits for a $2,000-to-win show, along with Modified Hobby, Open Wheel Modified and Mini Stock racing action.

With many people in the region on vacation, Volunteer Speedway hopes everyone has a wonderful Fourth of July holiday week spent with family.
