BECHTELSVILLE, Pa. -- The Sportsman stock cars, a new addition to the Saturday night weekly racing show at Grandview Speedway this season, will be in the limelight this Saturday, June 16th when a tripleheader show of stock car racing action is presented.

The Bashore Trucking/BFP Specialty Summer Splash will include NASCAR 358 Modifieds, Late Models and the special feature race for the Sportsman stock cars.

“The Sportsmen racers have been a good addition to our weekly action,” said promoter Bruce Rogers. “There has been some great excitement generated by the Sportsman racers and Saturday night, with $1,500 going to the winner of the 40-lapper, should attract a strong field of racers and make for some very exciting on track action.”

Many fans will be on hand to see if Duane Howard, a five feature winner so far this season in the NASCAR 358 Modifieds, can get back to victory lane. Jarrad Miller was the big winner in the Modifieds last Saturday, getting his first career win. Howard does continue to lead in the chase for the lucrative track championship.

The Late Model stock cars will also be in action.

Each division will present a full series of qualifying events leading up to a 30-lap feature for the NASCAR 358 Modifieds, a 20 lapper for the Late Models and a 40-lap special for the Sportsman.

Adult admission for the special tripleheader night of stock car racing action will be $20 while youngsters 12 and under will still be admitted FREE. Spectator gates open at 5:30 p.m. with racing action getting the green flag at 7:30 p.m.

On Sunday, June 17th, 2 p.m. the Sunday Small Car Series returns to the Grandview Speedway with racing action featuring the 270cc and 600cc Micro Sprints, 600 Mods along with Slingshot racers and SpeedSTRs. Admission is just $5 and those bringing rain checks from the Saturday night show will be admitted for just $4.

Grandview Speedway, just recently listed as one of the ten NASCAR weekly short tracks fans should be visiting in a USA Today article, is located on Passmore Road (43 Passmore) in Bechtelsville, PA, just off Route 100, 10 miles north of Pottstown.
