BECHTELSVILLE, Pa. -- Well it is official, after 7 years of being in victory lane Pete Knappenberger will not be interviewing the winners in winners at Grandview Speedway. " I think it was time to move on, I was not having fun any more like I used to." Pete Knappenberger said.
" I have been thinking about leaving for about a year now and circumstances out of my control has lead me to this decision, Grandview will alway be a special place in my heart but I have decided to move on." Knappenberger said. "I will come back to visit here and there, but let's face it; it will be hard seeing someone else doing what I have done there for so many years."
" I would like to thanks Ernie Saxton for giving me the chance to do this and for putting up with me for the last 7 years, I would also like to thank all the fans of Grandview Speedway and I hope they come visit me where ever I may end up." I realized about a year ago there are other race tracks and other things to do on a Saturday night." Pete said.
Pete has had several offers from other track and will be weighing his options, " about 4 tracks have contacted me and offered me a position, I am not sure where I will end up and when I will end up there. I would like to visit some other track on a saturday night."
" I do know this, racing is in my blood and I love the sport, Racers Roundtable.com will contiune and all of of my other ventures will continue."
