PEORIA, Ill. -- Rain has washed away the “Thursday Night Thunder” UMP racing program slated for August 16. Storms rolled through the area this morning and are expected to continue throughout the day. The UMP Modifed make-up feature from July 26 will be made up on Saturday, August 25. Action returns to the quarter-mile oval this Saturday, August 18 with Round 7 of the "Budweiser UMP Super Late Model Series", paying $2,000 to-win. UMP Modifieds, UMP Street Stocks, Limited Late Models, UMP Hornets and Speedway Motors Illinois Lightning Sprints will be in action as well. Pit gates open at 3 PM, with grandstands at 4 and hot laps at 5 Saturday night.
