PONTOON BEACH, Ill. -- Tri-City Speedway has had to push back the beginning of their racing season by one week. The Test & Tune scheduled for Wednesday, March 30th has rescheduled for Wednesday, April 6th. The season opener has also been pushed back one week from Sunday, April 3rd until Sunday, April 10th.

The track has encountered some unexpected construction delays. The racing surface just isn't quiet ready for action. The track's road grader caught fire this past week and burned most all the wiring and is currently being repaired. Promoter Kevin Gundaker stated that he hated to do this, but agreed that it was in the best interest of the racers because the track would not be ready.
