Jared Marks started the 200-lap ARCA Racing Series Presented by Menards event at Salem Speedway in 18th position.

16th Place finish-Jared Marks, No. 12 SRT Motorsports/UNOH Dodge Charger

Jared Marks drove the No. 12 SRT Motorsports/UNOH Dodge Charger to a 16th place finish at Salem Speedway. Battling loose conditions early in the race and dealing with lap traffic the Napoleon, Ohio native patiently worked his way to the front of the field entering the top ten by lap 90. The Wayne Carroll-led crew had precise pit stops when Jared incurred right front damage on lap 94; repairs were made to the No. 12 Dodge Charger sending him out to 15th on the restart. With the front end damage and a tow out issue it did not seem to affect the handling of the car as Jared quickly worked his way back into the top ten; running as high as 7th once again at this high banked short track. Unfortunately just after the half-way point on lap 112 Marks relayed to his crew he had no fuel pressure and had to come in under green flag conditions, by the time the crew had the fuel line issue corrected the No. 12 Dodge Charger was several laps down and returned to the track to try to not lose their points standing-taking the checkered flag in 16th position.

Jared currently sits 15th in points-45 points out of the top 10.

Marks Post Race Thoughts: “We had a pretty good car for this race, but bad luck struck taking away a good run we were having, our cars have been good all year we just have to shake this bad luck. I am really looking forward to going to Toledo for my next race in a few weeks-we are taking a really good car and it is my hometown track.”
