Terre Haute Action Track
Monday, March 21, 2005 Red, White and Blue is back at the Action Track
by Race AuthorTERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- A distinguishing characteristic of the Terre Haute Action Track for more than 50 years has been the red, white and blue stripes that encircle the legendary ˝ mile. With the addition of the concrete safety barrier around the track in 2003, the traditional stripes were whisked away with the old guard rail.
Fans will be delighted to know the trademark stripes are back for ’05! In photos in national racing publications, video clips and television coverage of racing news, the red, white and blue makes the Terre Haute Action Track easily recognizable.
The traditional stripes, in addition to the new covered grandstands and seating installed by the Wabash Valley Fair Association, have improved the appearance of the facility immensely. As fans head back to the Action Track this season to see the future superstars of racing, they will not only be treated to the best racing talent in the nation, but one of the best racing facilities as well!
The 2005 “Spring Fling” Season Opener Saturday, April 9th features more than 100 MSCS Sprints, UMP Modifieds and Super Stocks. These drivers are some of the best in the racing world!
The legendary ˝ mile Terre Haute Action Track has been the launch pad for many racing legends. We saw Mario Andretti, A.J. Foyt, Tony Stewart, Ryan Newman, Jeff Gordon and Kasey Kahne at the Action Track FIRST!! Come see the future of racing… NOW at the Terre Haute Action Track!
