PITTSBURGH, Pa. -- Join us this Saturday as it is "history in the making" when Pittsburgh's Pennsylvania Motor Speedway hosts its first ever Wingless Sprint show. The BOSS (Buckeye Outlaw Sprint Series) Wingless Sprint cars will battle in a 21-lap main event and the winner will get his name inscribed in the PPMS history book as "Big Bad BOSS" Master. The Super Late Models, Pro-Lates, Late Model Sportsman, Hobby Stocks and Young Guns will join the wingless warriors on the racing card Saturday as we present Big Bad BOSS Night.

"The fans in the Pittsburgh area have always enjoyed watching the Super Sprints at our speedway and we had several inquiries about presenting a wingless show during the off season so we are giving it a try this weekend. The BOSS Series features drivers from Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia such as Mark Cassella, Andre Layfield, Aaron Middaugh and Tony Beaber," stated Speedway Owner Matt Miley. "When you add our local talent such as Brent and Brandon Matus and Brandon Spithaler to the roster for Saturday; it is shaping up to be a super night of racing action."

This Saturday's on track action will also showcase the Late Model Sportsman competitors battling in their second Super Series event. Jake Simmons has six victories here at PPMS thus far in 2012 and is definitely one of the favorite's to claim the $700.00 top prize this weekend. Veterans Nick Kocuba, Pat Weldon and Wayne Carbo are also expected to be in action along with former E-Mod wheelman Vince Laboon, who has been quite impressive since joining the ranks of the full bodied racers.

Saturday's on track action may be "wingless" but the off-track action will feature plenty of "wings" as Gourmet Sauces of Pittsburgh has partnered with the Speedway to present "Two for One Dollar Wing Night". Race fans can enjoy the delicious PPMS Monster Wings with several varieties of Gourmet Sauces of Pittsburgh's wing sauce. In addition to going great with wings their sauces are also great on French fries, eggs and more!!

The Pit and Grandstand Admission Gates for Saturday's event open at 5:00PM with the first green flag waving promptly at 7:00PM.

Adult Grandstand Admission for this week's racing action is $20.00. Seniors, Ages 60 and Over, are admitted for $19.00 with Juniors, Ages 13 to 16, priced at $10.00. Admission for Children aged Six through 12 is $5.00 and Children Under Age Six will be admitted Free. In addition, all children aged Six through 12 will receive a free gift when they present their admission ticket at the PPMS Gift Shop, which now features Apparel by Denise. Pit Admission for this week's racing is $35.00.

In 2012, the management of Pittsburgh's Pennsylvania Motor Speedway will utilize a Sunday evening rain date in the event Mother Nature fails to cooperate with the Saturday night racing action. Times for the Sunday rain dates are as follows: Pit and Grandstand Admission Gates open at 4:00PM, Hot Laps at 5:00PM and Racing at 6:00PM.

Fans are also invited to bring their own refreshments however; glass bottles and alcoholic beverages are not permitted. In addition, coolers are limited to 14 inches or smaller in size. Don't forget that the Checkered Flag Food Court has a great variety of delicious food like grilled chicken sandwiches, curly fries, fruit salad and cotton candy at "fan friendly prices."
