PITTSBURGH, Pa. -- It's a UFo Alien Invasion this Saturday as Pittsburgh's Pennsylvania Motor Speedway presents the UFo Area 51 Topless Invasion on Saturday, July 21st. The winner of the 51 lap Super Late Model main event will receive the top prize of $5,000.00. In addition, the Mod Lite Stars Tour will make its inaugural appearance at the Imperial, PA oval. The Pro-Lates, Late Model Sportsman, Hobby Stocks and Young Guns will round out the evening's racing action.

"The UFo events at PPMS are always exciting and we are definitely looking forward to this week's event," stated Matt Miley. "The UFo has some of the best regional drivers in competition at each event and you never know who may drop in to try and score the victory." Gregg Satterlee was victorious when the UFo last visited the Imperial, PA oval in May. In addition to Satterlee, current UFo Points Leader Keith Barbara, Jason Covert, Coleby Frye, Alex Ferree and Michael Norris are also expected to challenge for the win.

Jared Miley may be the hottest Late Model driver on the Western PA circuit as he scored "back to back" wins last weekend at Lernerville and PPMS. Miley is the current divisional points leader at Lernerville and is currently fifth in the UFO standings. The South Park resident would like nothing more than to score the win this Saturday.

Perhaps the biggest divisional news since the UFo's first visit to "Dirt's Monster Half Mile" in May surrounds the return of John Flinner to the driver's seat of the John Johnson owned Rocket Chassis. Flinner scored a win here at PPMS on June 23rd and after suffering some mechanical problems in the subsequent weeks is poised for a successful run on Saturday.

PPMS management will start a maximum of 32 cars for the UFo main event and the Late Model feature event will pay $400.00 to the 24th place finisher.

In addition the first ever appearance of the Mod Lite Stars Tour is also on this Saturday's racing card. The Mod Lite heat events will be run with a "No Contact" rule to give the competitors the opportunity to adjust to the "Monster Half Mile." All Mod Lites will be eligible to start the feature event which pays $275.00 to win and $50.00 to start.

We are also pleased to announce the new "Big Pit Monster Meal" that will be available exclusively in the Pit Concession. The meal features a quarter pound hamburger, large french fries and a 32 ounce fountain drink for just $8.00.

Pit Admission gates will open at 4:30PM this week action. Grandstand Admission gates for Saturday's action will open at 5:00.

Adult Grandstand Admission for this week's racing action is $20.00. Seniors, Ages 60 and Over, are admitted for $19.00 with Juniors, Ages 13 to 16, priced at $10.00. Admission for Children aged Six through 12 is $5.00 and Children Under Age Six will be admitted Free. In addition, all children aged Six through 12 will receive a free gift when they present their admission ticket at the PPMS Gift Shop, which now features Apparel by Denise. Pit Admission for this week's racing is $35.00.

In 2012, the management of Pittsburgh's Pennsylvania Motor Speedway will utilize a Sunday evening rain date in the event Mother Nature fails to cooperate with the Saturday night racing action. Times for the Sunday rain dates are as follows: Pit and Grandstand Admission Gates open at 4:00PM, Hot Laps at 5:00PM and Racing at 6:00PM.

Fans are also invited to bring their own refreshments however; glass bottles and alcoholic beverages are not permitted. In addition, coolers are limited to 14 inches or smaller in size. Don't forget that the Checkered Flag Food Court has a great variety of delicious food like grilled chicken sandwiches, curly fries, fruit salad, hot pretzels and popcorn at "fan friendly prices."

Fans are encouraged to sign up for free race day text messages to get the latest information on weather or traffic delays that may impact the racing action by clicking on the "Rained Out" logo on the speedway website, www.ppms.com.
