PORT ROYAL -- A Three State Flyers Series Event sponsored by No. 1 Cycle Center of State College, the eighth installment of the Butch Renninger Memorial for late models is set for Port Royal Speedway on Saturday, September 1 at 7 PM.

The coveted Port Royal event will help kickoff the 158th annual Juniata Count Fair at the speedway that includes three more races with sprint cars in the spotlight on Labor Day afternoon and then again during the Tuscarora 50 weekend sanctioned by the All Stars on September 7 and 8.

The No. 1 Cycle Center Three State Late Model Renninger Memorial will pay at least $3,333 to win and will be 33 laps in distance.

An outstanding field of late models is sure to compete with invaders like Jason Covert, Jeremy Miller, Greg Satterlee, Devin Friese and more expected to take on the regular Port Royal stars like Brett Schadel, Mike Lupfer and Tim Wilson.

Defending event champion Jeff Rine is also expected to defend his crown.

H. D. ?Butch? Renninger was a three-time Port Royal Speedway late model track champion who pocketed 41 late model wins at the track during his career on the speedway.

Renninger was also a dedicated track employee, fairboard member and concessionaire at the track for some 40 years.
