SELINSGROVE, Pa. -- Paul Stine Chevrolet of Selinsgrove will be the title sponsor of this Saturday’s four division show of 358 sprint car, late model, pro stock, and roadrunner racing at Selinsgrove Speedway beginning at 7 p.m. Track gates will open at 5 p.m.

The late models will be featured in a 30-lap championship race June 9 paying $2,500 to win and $250 to start out of a purse totaling more than $14,000. The lucrative purse will pay $1,000 to the driver who finishes fifth. Time trials, heat races, and a B-main will be the qualifying format.

Entering this weekend’s action for the Jeff’s Auto Body & Recycling Center late model division, former seven-time champion Jeff Rine of Danville holds a 220-point lead over Steve Campbell of Danville in the chase for the track title. Last Saturday Rine drove to his third win of the season and the 75th of his career at the track.

Seven races have produced four different winners in the division to date. Dylan Yoder of Selinsgrove is the only other repeat late model feature winner this season. Other late model drivers who have visited Victory Lane this year include first-time winner Matt Cochran of Williamsport and Tony Adams of Sunbury.

In the A&A Auto Stores 358 sprint car division, former two-time champion Pat Cannon of Etters leads the standings by 130 points over Jason Shultz of Carlisle, who moved into the runner up position after scoring his second win of the season last Saturday. Cannon has two wins at the track in 2012 in 358 and 360 sprint car competition.

Two-time defending champion and three-time winner AJ Hoffman of Richfield leads the Salem RV Center/Byers Built Engines pro stock standings by 210 points over one-time winner Nate Kerstetter of Liverpool.

Last year’s Collier Paving & Construction roadrunner champion Bob Bussey of Northumberland, who has three wins this season, leads the divisional standings by 185 points over Ricky Bender of Jolliet, who picked up his first win of the season last weekend.

Title sponsor Paul Stine Chevrolet has specialized in the sales and service of quality new and pre-owned automobiles since 1971. The dealership, owned by Mark Managhan, is located at 430 N. Susquehanna Trail in Selinsgrove. For more information or to browse their inventory, please visit paulstine.com.

Selinsgrove Raceway Park will present a program of go kart and micro sprint car racing at 7 p.m. this Friday, June 8. Two-time winner David Utt of Bloomsburg leads the Selinsgrove Ford micro sprint car standings by 40 points over one-time winner Nathan Ritter of Selinsgrove entering this weekend’s action.
