SELINSGROVE, Pa. -- TJ Stutts of Liverpool scored his second straight win of the season and in the Joe Whitcomb Memorial in Saturday night’s 30-lap main event for 358 sprint cars at Selinsgrove Speedway driving the Bill Wise Motorsports No. 23. The $2,071 victory marked the 15th of Stutts’ career at the track.

Pat Cannon of Etters was the night’s fast qualifier with a lap time of 17.508. The Whitcomb Memorial is a tribute race held each year to honor the memory of Joe Whitcomb of Millersburg, who succumbed to injuries sustained in a sprint car racing crash at Selinsgrove on June 21, 2003.

Steve Campbell of Danville won his 44th career super late model race at Selinsgrove in the division’s 25-lap main event. He became the sixth different late model winner this year.

Rookie Hayes Mattern of Beavertown won his third career 15-lap feature in the pro stock division, while Ricky Bender of Jolliett won his second race of the season in the 12-lap roadrunner feature.

Selinsgrove Speedway will be in action at 7:30 p.m. this Tuesday, June 19, with the Race of Champions big block modifieds in the 35-lap, $4,000-to-win “School’s Out Special” sponsored by the Alexander Family Dealerships. Also on the racing card will be the roadrunners. Track gates will open at 5 p.m.

The speedway will present a four division show of 358 sprint cars, late models, pro stocks, and roadrunners at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, June 23, sponsored by PEPSI.
