NEWBERRYTOWN, Penn. – On Saturday afternoon, November 6, the Susquehanna Speedway Park will host the Seventh Annual Turkey 200 presented by Keller Williams Realty. Also the Classic Cars and Mini Vans will take to the track before the Enduro events. The Big Car (8-Cylinder) Enduro event will follow the specifications for the Xtreme Stock Car division that ran weekly at SSP during the 2010 season. There will also be a Small Car (4/6-Cylinder) Enduro will follow the SSP Road Warrior rules. Although the 6-cylinders are not permitted in the regular season Road Warrior division, the class will follow the same rules with the exception that the 6-cylinder engine is permitted. All enduro cars do not need to have a full roll cage, but must have both driver side door protection and roll-over protection for the driver subject to the approval of the technical inspectors. Each competitor must supply their own scorer. There will be a separate meeting for scorers during the Mini Van feature. The Big Car (8 Cylinder/XSC) Enduro event will be 125 laps regardless of the number of entries. The purse payout will be based on entry numbers: 75 or more entries: 1. $1,500; 2. $600; 3. $500; 4. $300; 5. $250 / 61-74 entries: 1. $1,250; 2. $550; 3. $400; 4. $250; 5. $200 / 51-60 entries: 1. $1,000; 2. $500; 3. $325; 4. $200; 5. $150 / 41-50 entries: 1. $1,000; 2. $400; 3. $250; 4. $150; 5. $125 / 31-40 entries: 1. $1,000; 2. $300; 3. $175; 4. $125; 5. $100 / 30 or less entries: 1. $1,000; 2. $250; 3. $125; 4. $100; 5. $75. The Small Car (4/6-Cylinder) Enduro event will be 75 laps regardless of the number of entries for each class. Both types of cars will be run in the same race with separate payouts for the 6-cylinders and 4-cylinders. The purse payout will be based on entry numbers per group (separate pay for 4-cylinders and 6-cylinders): 75 or more entries: 1. $1000; 2. $500; 3. $400; 4. $300; 5. $250 / 61-74 entries: 1. $750; 2. $400; 3. $300; 4. $200; 5. $175 / 51-60 entries: 1. $500; 2. $300; 3. $250; 4. $150; 5. $125 / 41-50 entries: 1. $500; 2. $250; 3. $200; 4. $125; 5. $100 / 31-40 entries: 1. $500; 2. $200; 3. $150; 4. $100; 5. $ 75 / 30 or less entries: 1. $500; 2. $150; 3. $100; 4. $75; 5. $50. Pre-entry for the event is encouraged but not mandatory. A Pre-entry with the fee must be postmarked by Monday, November 1, 2010. All entries postmarked on or after Tuesday, November 2, 2010 will be higher fee. Entries will be taken on the day of the event. The starting positions for the Turkey 200 Enduros will be aligned through a blind draw at the pit gate on the day of the event. As an extra bonus, all pre-entrants will be able to draw a second time for a starting position if he or she does not like their first draw for position. However, the entrant must take the second drawn spot regardless of whether or not it is a better starting position. Gates will open for both the pit area and grandstand area at 11:00 a.m. with racing action beginning at 1:00 p.m. General Admission Grandstand ticket prices for Saturday are Adults (ages 18-59) $12; Young Adults (ages 11-17) & Senior Adults (60 & Older) $10; Children (10 & under) are free. Pit pass prices are $20 for everyone. The minimum age requirement to purchase a pit pass is 12 years of age with a copy of a birth certificate is required for all ages 12 to 14. The Entry Fee for the Driver includes the pit pass with the entry.
Point championships for the Classic Cars and Mini Vans will conclude with the Turkey 200 event. The rain date for the event will be Sunday, November 7.
