BANKS, Ore. -- After a well attended Fan Appreciation Night the week before the Sunset Speedway Park is excited to return to action this Saturday June 16th for more regular season action. Classes on hand will be the always entertaining DAA Northwest Extreme Late Model Series presented by Sherwin-Williams Automotive Finishes, PHRA Dwarf Cars, Street Stocks, and 4-Bees.

This will be the first of a handful of visits for the DAA Northwest Extreme Late Model Series presented by Sherwin-Williams Automotive Finishes in the 2012 campaign. The PHRA Dwarfs have had one previous visit this year and dominant Henry Corbin III was the winner. Defending champion Craig Loomis still has the most wins with two feature victories while Jeff Lovell and Rob Ireland have both been able to beat him in competition once this year. Johnny Adams has two feature wins in the 4-Bees in 2012 including last week the only other winner this year has been Mike Mastrangelo.

On Wednesday June 20th the Wild Wild West Modified Shootout will return for what is scheduled to be the fifth round of seven for the 2012 edition and will feature Kenny Schrader racing alongside the USRA Modifieds. Fans are sure to get their money’s worth on this event with a great car count expected the field will be full of high caliber drivers from all over the Northwest.

The Sunset Speedway Park is located just west of the Portland metro area in Banks on the Sunset Highway. The venue is located in a gorgeous small town setting with rolling hills in the background and hosts weekly competition with Northwest Extreme Sprint Car Series, Northwest Wingless Tour, USRA Modifieds, Street Stocks, 4-Bees, Pure Stocks, Womens, and Tracers classes.
