HARTFORD, Ohio -- Defending Divisional Champion Dan Shetler became the fifth different winner in 410 Sprint action. Youngster Joe Gabrielson picked up his first E-Mod win of 2009 , Bruce Redman claimed his second consecutive Pro-Stock victory and Guy Griffin picked up his fourth Limited Sprint win as Sharon Speedway presented Truckin Thunder Night.

An "invert 10" redraw placed Broc Martin and Dan Shetler on the front row for the 25-lap 410 Sprint Feature event. Martin led the first four circuits before Shetler made a daring move to grab the lead. Shetler was able to build up a straightaway lead over his competitors until a spin by Keith Taylor on lap 16 slowed the field. The restart placed Bob Felmlee right on Shetler's rear bumper, but the Franklin, PA veteran was unable to capitalize as Shetler maintained control for the remaining 11 laps and captured his first feature victory of 2009. Felmlee held off Jack Sodeman, Jr. for the runner-up spot with Danny Holtgraver and Martin rounding out the top five.

"The top groove was definitely the fastest way around the track tonight. We finished second last night and this win was definitely needed. I want to thank my family and crew for their support this season; we spent the afternoon working on the car here in the parking lot, so this victory is a tribute to their hard work and dedication," stated Shetler.

Aaron Shaffer and Daryl Stimeling captured the 410 Sprint heats.

Stan Woomer led the first two laps of the Pro-Stock victory before the event was slowed for a caution involving points leader Jamie Duncan and Larry Root. The ensuing restart was short lived as a turn one accident collected Alan Dellinger, Bobby Robinson, Will Aley, Tony Spaghetti, Steve Burns and Martin Warren. Fortunately none of the drivers were injured. The remaining 13 laps were caution free as Woomer, Redman and Tim Burns battled for the top spot. Woomer led until lap 12 when Redman was able to get by and go on to pick up his second consecutive victory.
Woomer held off Burns for the second spot with Eric Williams and Brian Carothers, who started in the 18th spot, completing the top five.
Dellinger and Duncan won the Pro-Stock heats.

Rob Felix and Tyler Palmer led the Limited Sprint Feature to the green. Felix led the first 12-laps before veteran Guy Griffin used the high side of the speedway to get by Felix. Griffin went on to lead the final eight circuits to pick up his fourth feature victory of the season.
Brandon Spithaler recovered from a lap eight caution to claim the runner-up spot. Adam Anderson scored a career best third place finish with Nick Miller and Chad Matthews completing the top five.
Griffin and A.J. Albrecht won the Limited Sprint heats.

Youngster Joe Gabrielson weathered a caution filled E-Mod feature event to pick up his first victory of 2009. Jim Turley and Gabrielson led the 25 car field to the green flag. Gabrielson grabbed the lead with Turley right behind. A lap three caution found Turley, Jim Dellinger, Ed Cornell, Ed Wilson and Jeff Hassay spinningin turn two. Justs one lap later the caution flew again as Hassay, Dellinger, Ed Wilson, Dwayne Clay and Ed Snyder spun in nearly the same spot.

Gabrielson withstood the challenges of Modified driver Rob Kristyak, who was driving the Bootie Petsko #00 and veteran Scott Stiffler, to capture his first win of 2009. Stiffler held on for the second spot followed by Kristyak, Bob McCann and Russ Dunn.

Steve Haefke, Stiffler and Dunn won the E-Mod heats.

Sharon Speedway will be dark next Saturday, July 4th. Racing action will resume on Tuesday, July 7th as the Lou Blaney Memorial Classic takes place. The event will feature the 410 Sprints and the Big Block Modifieds competing in 30-lap feature events paying $3,000 to win. Sprint Cup Drivers Tony Stewart, Kasey Kahne and Dave Blaney will compete in the Sprint portion of the event.
