CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Less than one month after being the youngest driver to earn a top-10 finish in the Legends Big Money 100 at Charlotte Motor Speedway (NC), Boston-native Kaz Grala earned a victory in the most important race of the 2012 Summer Shootout Legend Car Series on Tuesday, July 31st. The win for the 13-year old rookie, which came in Round Seven of the 10-Round Jack in the Box Summer Shootout, is his fifth victory this year, but his first in the series. “This win is certainly the biggest of my career,” said Grala. “My team has worked incredibly hard, and this particular race was the best one to win because it earned us double points, which has moved us up significantly in the series points standings." The victory earned Grala double the customary amount of points, which now places him seventh out of 37 drivers in the Summer Shootout Series standings. Grala will return to Charlotte Motor Speedway in his No. 3 OzLINK sponsored car for Round Eight of the Jack in the Box Summer Shootout Series on Tuesday, August 7th.
