CASA GRANDE, Az. -- Barnett Modifieds headline the racing card at Central Arizona Raceway this Saturday night. The ground pounding modified field will see such stars as series point leader and multiple main event winner R. C. Whitwell take to the 3/8’s mile oval. Other entries expected are the Arizona drivers that are in the top ten in Barnett national points including Jason Noll, Tony Steele, Anthony Madrid and Terry Belcher Jr A 30 plus field of modifieds is expected for the $1000 first place prize money.

Joining the modifieds at the Casa Grande track will be the exotic looking Super Stock cars as drivers from all over AZ converge for another round of the Super Stock tour series. The tour series is run at several AZ race tracks and this weekend local favorite and tour point’s leader Mike Tahtinen leads the tour into Central AZ Raceway. Other drivers expected to compete are runner up in tour points John Crawford from Phoenix, Don Costa, Chris Odom and newcomer to the Super Stock division young Chris McCurdy Jr.

The newly formed Sport Modified division and the popular Mod Lite group will round out the racing action.

Central Arizona Raceway is located at the Pinal County Fairgrounds. Exit 194 off of I-10. Go east 7 miles to the fairgrounds on your right.
