The 2006 season-ending race for The Eldon Raceway, The Michael Petersen Memorial Race, was originally scheduled for September 9th but mother nature didn't cooperate on that day so the race was rescheduled for Sunday, October 1st and that nearly month-long wait ended up being well worth it for Mark Widmar of Ottumwa.
