South Boston Speedway Offers Big Discount on 2010 Season Passes

SOUTH BOSTON, Va. -- The curtain has closed on the 2009 season at South Boston Speedway, but plans are already in place for another exciting season of racing at America's Hometown Track in 2010.

South Boston Speedway officials released their 2010 racing schedule last weekend and it includes 19 action-packed events, beginning with NASCAR Whelen All-American Series racing action on Saturday, March 13, 2010. The 2010 season will conclude on Nov. 6, 2010.

In addition to releasing the 2010 schedule, South Boston Speedway officials announced that season tickets for the upcoming year of racing are currently on sale and priced at only $150. The season pass would save South Boston's most loyal fans $100 off race day ticket prices.

Everyone who purchases a 2010 season pass will also receive a free copy of the South Boston Speedway 50th Anniversary book: 'The First 50 Years'.

In addition to NASCAR Whelen All-American Series events for the Late Model Stock Car Division, the Limited Sportsman Division, the Pure Stock Division, and the Southern Vintage Modified division, a host of special events are also planned in 2010.

South Boston Speedway will host the NASCAR Grand National Camping World East Series and the NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour on April 3. The USA Racing Pro Cup Series, formerly known as the Hooters Pro Cup Series, will make two appearances at South Boston Speedway in 2010 and the PASS Super Late Model Series will also make an appearance.

The annual 200-lap NASCAR Whelen Late Model Stock Car race and the traditional Fireworks Extravaganza will be held on Friday, July 2 and South Boston Speedway will also host a 300-lap NASCAR Whelen Late Model Stock Car event on Oct. 16.
