Rowan Pennink Looking to Continue 'Steady Streak' into Final Two Events

HUNTINGTON VALLEY, Pa. -- With over 50 races under his belt in 2009, (2 wins, 22 top 5's, and 41 top 10’s) Huntington Valley, PA’s, Rowan Pennink, one of NASCAR Modifieds rising stars, hopes to continue his strong season while doing double duty at this weekend’s North South Shootout (Concord Speedway, Concord, NC) and Thanksgiving Weekend at the Turkey Derby (Wall Speedway, Belmar NJ).

“What a year!!” exclaimed Rowan, “I knew the #93 team was ready to step up our program and we proved that with a 4th place finish in the NASCAR Modified Tour Points. But then to run strong and get a win on the True Value Series in the #25 Gary Casella Modified and finish 3rd in points at Thompson Speedway in the Al and Cathy Monzi #31Falmouth Ready Mix Modified is a testament to the efforts and caliber of all these teams.”

The 7th annual North South Shootout continues to grow as one of the races every modified driver wants to win and that is no different for Rowan and the #93 team. The team has worked many extra hours the past month preparing the car to get Rowan on the NSS exclusive win list. The 93 team will also be running a car in the SK division during the weekend. This would not have been possible with out the generous contributions of Al and Cathy Monzi.

Wall Speedway is the #93 Modified team’s home track and is a special place for the team to run. With that comes the pressure to repeat as the 2008 Turkey Derby SK Modified Winner and step up and get the Modified into victory lane in front of our home town fans.
