PARK CITY, Kan. -- The tenth event for the National Championship Racing Association of Park City, Kansas presented by Precise Racing Products modified division will take place this coming Sunday night as the tour will make their annual trip to the Belleville High Banks in Belleville, Kansas and with it, yet another race that will be crucial to the 2012 point championship.

Former series champion Marc Hurd of Wichita, Kansas will come into the night with a seventy point lead over defending series champion Tyler Davis, also of Wichita. Hurd has two feature victories thus far on the season and has mastered the High Banks several times the past five years. Davis has one feature victory to his credit and looks to close the gap with just one event remaining after this weekend.

A late season charge finds Josh Lanterman still with a shot at claiming the championship as he sits just 220 points behind in third place. Dan Powers and rookie contender Jon Thompson sit fourth and fifth respectively in the point standings. Thompson is also just three points behind current point leader Dustin Belcher in the rookie point standings.

Sitting sixth through tenth in the standings and also expected to compete are Don Hodge, Belcher, Justin Moler, Kirk Coleman and AJ Brochu, Over twenty drivers are expected.

Brandon Blochlinger won this event last year.

The modified tour will be just one of three sanctioned by the NCRA that will be in competition this Sunday night. Gates open at 5:00 pm with racing set for a 7:00 pm start time. Reserved seats are $25 while general admission seating is just $20. The cruiser division will also be competing.

The Belleville High Banks is located 2.0 miles north of US 36 on US 81, then 0.4 mile southeast on M St. to 7th St., then 0.1 mile east (near the water tower, at the North Central Kansas Fairgrounds).
