Friday, August 24, 2012 ARCA Welcome Party Scheduled Friday in Madison; Drivers, Showcar to Appear at Stan's Club LaMark

MADISON, Wis. -- When the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards returns to Madison International Speedway for Sunday's Herr's Live Life With Flavor 200, drivers and crew members will be a welcome sight for race fans throughout south central Wisconsin. Stan's Club LaMark, located at 1525 North Stoughton Road in Madison, will welcome ARCA to town Friday night at 5 p.m. ARCA Team Messina Rookie Challenge contender Spencer Gallagher will have his No. 23 Allegiant Air Chevrolet on display, and he and several other drivers will be on hand to meet fans and sign autographs. Stan's Club LaMark is Madison's NASCAR Party Bar. Club LaMark's annual "Welcome ARCA" party will also feature a viewing of the NASCAR Nationwide Series race from Bristol Motor Speedway, and the public is invited to stick around to watch the action. As the ARCA Racing Series continues through its 60th Anniversary Season, race fans in Wisconsin have the chance to "Save Big Money" on tickets to see the action live. Through Saturday, August 25, fans can buy tickets for Sunday's race at $15 - a $10 discount off of the advertised at-track price - at two Menards stores in Madison, as well as stores in Baraboo, Beaver Dam, Beloit, Burlington, Franklin, Germantown, Janesville, Johnson Creek, Milwaukee, Monona, Oak Creek, Pewaukee, Platteville, Waukesha, West Allis, West Bend, and West Milwaukee. Championship leaders Chris Buescher, Frank Kimmel, and Brennan Poole top the list of headliners at the track. Alex Bowman, who won in his ARCA Racing Series debut last season at Madison and is fourth in this year's point standings, will also compete. Chase Elliott, son of NASCAR champion Bill Elliott, will make his fifth career ARCA start at Madison. Practice for the Herr's Live Life with Flavor 200 will take place from 1-1:45 p.m. and 2:15-3 p.m. Saturday, with Menards Pole Qualifying presented by Ansell following at 4:30 p.m. ARCA Racing Series drivers will appear on the frontstretch for an autograph session open to all fans at noon Sunday, and the 200-lap, 100-mile race will begin at 2 p.m. All times are Central. ARCARacing.com will feature live timing and scoring coverage throughout the weekend, and ARCA Racing Network hosts Charlie Krall and Tim Clagg will deliver a live audio call for the race on the site. Madison International Speedway is located at 1122 Sunrise Dr. in Oregon, just south of Madison. 2012 is the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards' 60th Anniversary Season, featuring 20 races at 18 tracks. The ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards has crowned an ARCA national champion each year since its inaugural season in 1953, and has toured over 200 race tracks in 26 states since its inception. The series has tested the abilities of drivers and race teams over the most diverse schedule of stock car racing events in the world, visiting tracks ranging from 0.375 mile to 2.66 miles in length, on both paved and dirt surfaces as well as a left- and right-turn road course in its most recent season. This year, the series visited Alabama's Mobile International Speedway and Minnesota's Elko Speedway for the first time.
