WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. -- As the case with every track on the 2012 JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance Schedule, Jerrod Foley and his J.L.J. Motorsports Team are seeing all new race tracks to them throughout the schedule and one of the more difficult challenges came at the famed 7/16s (0.437) mile semi-banked paved oval of Berlin Raceway located west of Grand Rapids in Marne, Michigan for the Berlin 100 Presented by JEGS.com & Boyne Machine Company.

The 100-lapper under threatening weather on August 4th presented several new challenges to the Williamsburg, Kentucky based team as most teams have found out the hard way in their first ever appearance at Berlin, the track is extremely difficult to get ahold of for first time visitors and unfortunately for the 20-year-old, that proved to be the case.

“We would love to say Berlin was an awesome race for us, but that was not the case, we struggled all day in our two practice sessions trying to figure out the track and the set up.” Explained the Blue Grass State driver. “At the end of practice before qualifying we hadn't made much improvement at all from pulling off the trailer.” The troubles continued for Foley as he Qualified a disappointing 22nd out of 23 cars.

“We knew it was going to be a long race with keeping out of trouble being the main thing on our minds.” Foley added. Before a lap was completed, trouble began at the front of the pack and mass chaos ensued with Foley getting involved as well. “We got the right front fender tore off the car and that slowed us down for the reminder of the race. We was never able to get a handle on the track, more so it got a handle on us.” He laughed.

In the end, Foley would survive his first Berlin experience with a 15th place finish. “We kept our heads held up high and are focusing on the next race at Auto City. Having only to replace the fender from Berlin we have had some time to get our facts together and a setup we think will work really well.” He stated. “Running sixth in points we just have to keep our nose clean and stay out of trouble for the rest of the 2012 season and I think we will have a very respectable season under our belts. Thanks to all my sponsors and supporters, couldn't do it without them.” Foley ended.

The next race on the JEGS/CRA schedule is at the uniquely shaped 7/16s (0.437) mile semi-banked paved oval of Auto City Speedway, located north of Flint in Clio, Michigan on Thursday, August 16th for the running of the BRAD 100 Presented by JEGS.com. NASCAR Sprint Cup Series star, Brad Keselowski will be on hand as the Rochester Hills, Michigan native will sign autographs and drop the green flag on the JEGS/CRA race.

While sitting sixth place in the season long JEGS/CRA points, 43 markers out of the coveted top five, Foley has recorded two top five finishes including a season high of a third at Columbus Motor Speedway in Columbus, Ohio, during the CoughlinCars.com 100 Presented by JEGS.com back on May 26th,

For the remainder of the 2012 racing season, Foley’s #04 Port City Racecars Chevrolet Impala will be sporting sponsorship decals from Quality Care Auto as well as additional support coming from Manton Financial Services, Imprint Warehouse Screen Printing DAL Fishing Jigs, Advance Auto Parts, Baker Performance Parts, M.P.H. Promotions, Ace in the Hole Motorsports, and JLJ Motorsports,
