STRONGSTOWN, Pa. -- Out of ten feature events run Friday night at Dog Hollow Speedway, only one young man, Steve Beatty of Pittsburgh, was the new winner as he copped the Stoystown Auto Wreckers Fastrak Late Model Main for his first career DHS victory.

Repeat winners on Al’s Tire Trophy nights included: Mike Blose of New Bethlehem in the Townsend Gas and Oil Super Late Models; Dan Shetler of Johnstown in the Precise Racing Products Racesaver 305 Sprints; Nick Goss of Punxsutawney in the Hoosier Tire Mid Atlantic; Adam Pletcher of Tire Hill doubled up in the make-up and regular Lias Tire Pure Stock features, while Jim Kleitches of Johnstown and Jack Theys of South Fork split the Myers Tires Four Cylinder Sidewinder mains and John Hayes of Clymer doubled up on the Myers Tires Four Cylinder Modified features.

Mike Blose and Jerry Redden brought the Super Late Models to the green flag with Blose charging into the lead and setting the pace. While he led the 25-lappers from flag to flag, he didn’t just run away, as Sammy Stile was there to challenge much of the race, but Stile broke on lap 14, giving up the chase, but Andrew Gordon was coming to the front, as he started 12th and made it to second but just could not muscle the win away from Blose, who parked his Ford powered car in the winner’s circle for the second this season. Redden held on for second ahead of Eric Irvin and Ryan Christoff. Heat wins went to Blose and Redden.

Steve Beatty beat Ron Smithley off the line to start the Fastrak Late Model main and he led the feature from start to finish. Smithley ran second for four laps before Joe Moyer took that spot, as Beatty led, second place back was a tussle, changing often with it being the same at the line just about each lap, at the finish it was Beatty winning his second career feature and first at Dog Hollow with Joe Martin getting Moyer for second on the final lap. Andrew Satterlee was fourth and Smithley was fifth. Beatty and Smithley split the heats.

Dan Shetler and Skip Daugherty led the Racesaver 305 Sprints to the start as Shetler took the lead and like the previous two races, he went wire to wire, with second place a hard fought battle, as Daugherty lost second to Bryce Stephens, but he dropped out early giving second over to Daugherty again, but he had to try and hold off Roger Irvine, as Rich Powell threw the checkered flag it was Shepler winning over Irvine, Brian Walker, Daugherty and “Cowboy” Jim Kennedy. Heat wins were divided between Shepler and Daugherty.

The Street Stocks saw Jeff Sweeney beat Josh Jacoby off the line with Jacoby holding second before Nick Goss came from 12th to second on lap six before taking the lead for good on lap nine. The race was over then as Goss went on to get his sixth win of the season. Sweeney, Mike Desch, Nathan Yeaney and Matt Hugill completed the top five. Jacoby and Rick Tripodi split the heats.

Devin Lewis and Jon Gombach III brought the Pure Stocks to the green flag to start the regular feature but it was third place starter Adam Pletcher who took the lead and set the pace from that point on with Andrew Koenig trying to get the lead but Pletcher was hooked up and took the win. Koenig was second, with Marshall Detwiler, Matt Summers and Luke Barnett completing the top five. Koenig and Justin Queen won the heats.

Tim Lamer led Jim Kleitches off the line to start the Four Cylinder Sidewinder main event and he was setting the pace with Kleitches and Jack Theys throwing everything they had at him for the lead, then with just three laps left, Lamer lost power and coasted to the pits, as Kleitches took the lead and ended up with the victory. Theys, Chris Yoder, Bill Hassenplug and Ryan Claycomb completed the top five. Theys, Claycomb and Lamer won the heats.

Mark Maglet and John Hayes were fighting each other the enire distance in the Modified Four Cylinder feature, with Hayes leading lap one, before Maglet took the lead for laps two and three, then it was Hayes once again taking the lead and eventual win. Maglet held on for second, Martin Vinosky, Rick Lamer and Ashley Britskey rounded out the top five. Hayes also won the heat.

In make-up action it was Marshall Detwiler led the first 10 laps of the make-up Pure Stock feature, before Adam Pletcher wrestled the lead away on lap 11 and went up to win. Detwiler held on to second with Matt Summers, David Beahr and Darren Smouse completed the top five. The heat on June 29 was won by Detwiler.

The Four Cylinder Sidewinders made up their race with Bill Hassenplug taking the lead at the start with Paul Crynock Jr. leading from lap four to eight with Jack Theys taking the lead on lap nine and not looking back. Crynock held on to second with John Lamer in third, Chris Yoder in fourth and Paul Crynock the III was fifth. The heats on June 29 were won by Jack Theys, Hassenplug and Sean Fitzpatrick.

The Modified Four Cylinder make-up feature was led from start to finished by John Hayes as he held off Chris Hickok for a few laps, before Hickok dropped out with mechanical problems. At the finish it was Hayes winning over Martin Vinosky, Ray Edwards, Paul Little and Hickok. June 29 heats were won by Hickok and Edwards.
